ABA Therapy
What is ABA Therapy?
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy is a scientifically validated and evidence-based approach used to support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental challenges. ABA Therapy focused on improving behaviors, communication, and social skills ultimately enhancing the quality of life for individuals and their families.
The individual will receive a customized treatment plan created by a Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS) and implemented by a trained Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who will work on these skills with the individual in a 1:1 capacity to ensure effectiveness in programming.
The ABA Therapy Process:
Assessment:
The process begins with a comprehensive assessment of the individual's current skills, behaviors, and needs. This assessment guides the development of a personalized treatment plan.
Goal Setting:
Clear and measurable goals are established based on the individual's unique strengths and challenges. These goals serve as the foundation for the therapy plan.
Intervention:
ABA Therapists implement evidence-based interventions and techniques to address specific skills and behaviors outlines in the treatment plan. Sessions may conducted in the home or office.
Data Collection:
Data is collected during each session to track progress and make data-driven decisions for adjustment to the treatment plan.
Family Involvement:
Parents and caregivers are actively involved in the therapy process. It is vital for the therapy process to be successful, for the parent's to receive training and support to reinforce the skills and behaviors at home.
Ongoing Assessment:
Regular assessments are conducted to measure progress and make necessary modifications to the therapy plan.Â
Transition Planning:
As individuals make progress, we work on transitioning them to more independent and mainstream environments, when appropriate.
